Question:I am currently out of work, and thinking of going back to school. I am just about a week short of turning 42,  I went to community college but never finished.  Now that the job market wants a college degree, in order to get a decent job. I figured since I am out of work maybe I can get financial aid and get my degree. I need to know what to do now and how to get this ball rolling if at all possible. Any help that you can give would be helpful.

Good afternoon Patrick

Age has no bearing on education.  Below is the first the link to the first step.  Completing the FAFSA you may learn about the financial aid process and get an early estimate of your eligibility for federal student aid. Once you determine your school of choice you can go in and add the school code.

Good luck to you!!!!!

There are NO federal grants available for students who have already received their B.S. degree EXCEPT for teachers pursuing a master’s degree.  However, there is financial aid available in the form of student loans that one may apply for.  Please visit www.fafsa.ed.gov for more info.

How can I pursue my career of anthropology without going to a four year college?

September 23rd, 2009, 4:11 pm by gabe

Anthropology/Archaeology - an undergraduate degree (B.A./B.S.)
is required to work as a field archaeologist in the U.S. and to perform
basic laboratory studies. Previous experience through participation in a
field school or as a volunteer is often required.  You’ll need to go to
grad school eventually if you want to stay in this career, because the
law requires that the higher ups have at least a master’s degree.
